About Even Ground

We Handle
the Dealer.
You Handle
the Drive Home.

Buying a car should feel straightforward. For most people, it does not. You tell us the year, make, model, and trim. We find it, negotiate it, and have everything agreed to in writing before you arrive. That is what Even Ground is for.

Built on Inside Knowledge.

T
Thomas
Founder, Even Ground
"I watched the same dynamic play out in every transaction. Buyers walking in underprepared against people who negotiate for a living. Even Ground exists because that imbalance is fixable."

I spent years on the sales side of the car business. I sat across the desk from buyers every day, watched how deals got structured, and saw exactly where the money moved. Dealers don't hide what they're doing — they just count on the fact that you haven't seen it a thousand times. I have.

I built Even Ground because that knowledge doesn't belong on the dealer's side of the table. Every deal I take on gets my direct attention, start to finish. Not a team, not a call center. Me. That's the whole point.

We Handle Everything
On Your Behalf.

Finding the Vehicle
You give us the specs. Year, make, model, trim, packages, and preferred colors. We locate the right match in your area so you never have to search inventory or step into a dealership to look.
Every Conversation
All dealer communication goes through us. You are never put in a position to negotiate unprepared or under pressure. We handle it.
Every Term
Pricing, financing, trade-in positioning, add-ons, fees. Every detail is structured and agreed to in writing before you arrive. No surprises at the table.
Your Time
No hours sitting across a desk while someone checks with a manager. You show up, sign, and drive home. That is the whole point.
Your Peace of Mind
Most people leave a dealership unsure if they got a fair deal. With Even Ground, everything is handled before you walk in. You already know what you agreed to.

Dealerships Negotiate
Cars Every Day.
You Do It Once.

Even Ground was built by someone who spent years on the dealer side and watched buyers leave money on the table in every transaction. Not because they were not smart, but because the process is designed that way. This service exists to change that equation.

Since 2025, we have worked with 100+ clients across the country, from first-time buyers to people who have purchased a dozen cars and still wanted the process handled.

01
The Gap Is Real
Most buyers purchase a vehicle once every several years. Dealerships negotiate them every single day. That experience gap shows up at the table, and most people feel it.
02
Even Ground Closes It
We step in as your advisory and negotiation team. We know the process, the structure, and what to ask for. You bring the decision. We bring the preparation.
03
Professional Representation
Even Ground is professional representation for one of the biggest purchases most people make. Your time and your peace of mind should not be part of the negotiation.

Simple Process.
Complete Coverage.

You Share the Specs
Year, make, model, trim, packages, and colors. That is all we need to get started. We take it from there.
We Find the Vehicle
Even Ground locates the right match in your area. Once we find it, we contact the dealer and begin negotiations on your behalf. You are not involved in any of it.
Terms Are Set in Writing
Before you visit the dealership, agreed terms are documented in writing. No pressure tactics when you arrive. No moving numbers at the last minute.
You Show Up and Drive Home
Visit the dealership, review and sign, and leave with your vehicle. The hard part is already done.

A Few Things
People Ask First.

Couldn't I just negotiate this deal myself? +
Honestly, yes. You could. And some people do it well. What Even Ground brings is not a secret process. It's that we do this every single day. We know which fees are negotiable and which ones aren't. We know what a dealer will move on and what they're holding firm on. We know how to read a deal sheet and spot the line items that shouldn't be there. That knowledge comes from years on the sales side of the car business, not from a YouTube video. We also handle everything most people don't want to deal with. The average buyer spends 17+ hours on this process: researching inventory, calling dealers, waiting on callbacks, talking to salesmen, and then sitting at a dealership for 4 to 5 hours going back and forth. That's before the finance office tries to add things back in at the last minute. All of that goes through us, not you. If you have the time, the patience, and the market knowledge to get a strong deal on your own, you probably don't need us. If you'd rather have someone who does this every day handle it while you do everything else, that's what Even Ground is for.
Why shouldn't I hire Even Ground? +
Honestly? If you enjoy the negotiation process, have the time to spend at a dealership going back and forth, and feel confident you know what a strong deal looks like for your specific vehicle in your current market, you may not need us. Even Ground is not for everyone. We are for people who want the process handled professionally, do not want to spend their weekend at a dealership, and would rather pay a flat fee than wonder if they left money on the table.
Do I still pay if I don't end up buying a car? +
The fee covers the work Even Ground performs on your behalf, including sourcing, research, dealer communication, and negotiation. If you decide not to move forward after work has begun, the fee is not refunded. If Even Ground is unable to locate a suitable vehicle or an error occurs on our end, we will address it directly and work toward a fair resolution.
What exactly do you negotiate? +
We negotiate purchase price, trade-in value, dealer fees, add-ons, and backend products like extended warranties and GAP insurance. On financing we advise. We review your situation and point you in the direction that makes the most sense for you, whether that is manufacturer financing, outside financing, or cash. We do not arrange financing directly.
How do you prevent the dealer from changing terms at signing? +
All agreed terms are documented in writing before your visit. When you go in, Even Ground remains on standby by phone or text. If the dealer attempts to change anything that was already agreed to, you contact us immediately and we handle it.
Who is actually negotiating my deal? +
I handle every deal personally. I founded Even Ground after close to a decade on the sales side of the car business. I know how dealers are trained, how deals are structured, and where the money is made. Every client gets my direct attention from the first call to standby at signing.
Is Even Ground affiliated with any dealership? +
No. Even Ground is fully independent with no dealer affiliations, referral arrangements, or financial relationships with any dealership. We work exclusively on your behalf.
How long does the process take? +
Most deals are completed within five to seven business days from intake form submission. Timeline depends on vehicle availability and dealer responsiveness. If you have a hard deadline, note it in your intake form and we will work around it.
Do you work on used vehicles and leases? +
Yes. Even Ground handles new and used vehicles, and both purchases and leases.
What if I already found the vehicle I want? +
That works. Share the vehicle details, dealer information, and any communication you have had so far. Even Ground takes it from there and negotiates on your behalf.
Do you work nationwide? +
Yes. Even Ground works with clients across the country. Distance from the dealership is your choice. We can work within your preferred range or search nationwide if that gets you the best deal.
